Launch kicking God in the hole was great, as was Bulma finally telling the Announcer off for yelling into a mic despite being right next to the only audience.
All in all a good ep, although there were some pacing issues - namely everything before the break basically being Piccolo screaming forever. Guess I better get used to it ;)
Oh my god! Son Goku has a hole in his right breast but he stands up! The fight had some twists and turns so far: Piccolo destroyed the whole island but Son Goku stand there like nothing happened. Son Goku beat the shit out of Piccolo but he survived. Right now, Piccolo has the upperhand.
What I don't understand is how that hole protected everyone from the blast?
I just want this fight to be over. Not that it's been a bad fight or anything. It's had its fun little twists and turns. I just get so impatient with drawn out shonen stuff. Goku getting blasted in the chest was one of the most savage things the show has ever done. It's definitely been interesting to see the original Dragon Ball get progressively darker. Definitely interested to see how Goku will turn this into some sort of win. If not outright victory.
that announcer guy took 5ever to count down. He should be fired.
This is top tier battle anime right now, easily one of the best fights in the entire franchise.
My theory is the announcer forgets what number is next all the time so he buys time until he remembers.
Speaking of the announcer he should've disqualified Tien during the last match or at least redone his match with Goku when it came out that Chiaotzu was helping him. He's really incompetent.
It's funny that Goku's really close to death just to win this tournament.

Damn! I thought that was it for Piccolo. Guess it's gonna be over in the next episode.
Ouch, just plain ouch. That hole sure hurts. Goku has insane durability. He survived an island level nuke, with his pants intact, might I add, and a hole straight through his shoulders? Or is it his left lung? Either way, he keeps standing his ground. That's a new level of badassery.
Only Blonde Lunch would kick God into a hole to save him, well done. And that adorable announcer sure takes his time to start the countdown.
What a massive explosion that was. The entire arena has been practically ruined. Even then, Goku withstood it and managed to unleash another kamehameha on Piccolo. That hole must hurt so much. Goku is able to withstand so much pain - it's a miracle he is even able to stand up.
